MP 61.5 (Design 2023, Construction 2024)

The 61.5 project consisted of upgrading and improving two failing culverts including stream bed restoration to improve fish passage. One culvert is located underneath the Seward Highway and the second culvert is underneath a nearby Forest Service road. 


This construction project included wetland mitigation credits that are applicable to the Sterling Hwy MP 45-60 projects.

Current Work

  •  Work was performed from the end of April to the end of June in 2024. 
  • All work is currently complete.
