Stage 2 (Design 2020–2023, Construction 2024–2027)

DOT&PF completed the Juneau Creek Bridge design as a steel girder bridge. Construction of the bridge abutments is anticipated to begin in 2024, with construction of the bridge continuing through 2027.

Juneau Creek Bridge will be: 

• Highest crossing in the state at 285 feet (Hurricane Gulch is approximately 250 feet)
• longest single-span bridge in the state since 1982
• longest erected and launched bridge in the state

Juneau Creek Bridge is being lowered onto the bearing pads. Temporary launching steel and equipment will be removed by the end of July 2026. 

August 2026 construction activities will include

• Installation of deck forms
• Grading and form work for the backwalls and wingwalls
• Final bolt tensioning
• Preparation for deck work in the 2027 construction season.
